In recent years, car manufacturers all around the world have started to alter their product portfolio by restyling their hatchbacks into some sort of five door coupé and selling it as a more elegant and sporty alternative to the sort of people who have absolutely no clue what they are doing in their life. The Mercedes CLA, the Audi A3 Saloon and the new BMW 2 Series are just some of the most prominent examples that come into mind. When seeing these cars I always ask myself: “why?”. Why would someone design let alone buy something like this? I mean, I can’t see a single reason for it.
Alpine A110S
The A110 has been around for quite a while now, and if you don‘t live under a rock you‘ll probably know that everyone who had a go in it thinks that it’s rather brilliant. But do I? Spoiler: Absolutely!
I’ve always been fascinated by the original A110. Small, fast, a lot of heritage and huge amounts of character. When I heard that Renault was going to do a modern reinterpretation of the A110, I couldn’t await to see what they’d come up with.

Well the French. Love them or hate them. Either way there are some things they just do better than the rest of the world. When it comes to cooking, they are known for having some of the finest food and most highly rated chefs. Their electronic music is one of the best you can find and they are undoubtedly the fastest when it comes to putting on a yellow vest and break things which are not theirs.

Recently I’ve kindly been provided with an Abarth 124 GT for a few days, so I could write a review about it. Here I am then. Writing my first ever review about a car. How hard can it be?
BMW 135i M
I planned on writing a review about this car for quite some time now. But being rather lazy these days, I never really got to it. With the more or less “recent“ reveal of the new 1 Series it’s about time to look back the best 1 Series Hatchback there has ever been. At least that‘s what I think.
The 135i M (in fact this very car) holds a special place in my heart. Mainly because I had my first memorable experience of a „quick“ car in it and secondly because I‘m lucky enough to spend quite some time in the passenger seat, as the car belongs to a good friend.
